Love Peace and Price
The people congregate,
The crowd is irate.
How much can we take?
The opposite of love is hate.
When you say you don't know
It means you don't care--
It means you're not welcome here;
Here, where emotion is bared,
Where people are through with being scared,
Where we raise our voices, sick of being unheard.
Here is where we take a stand.
We don't ask you to comprehend.
Turn off your brain, tune out the trend,
Don't act like a person--act like a friend.
Action is more than thoughts, paper, and pen.
Don't try to think, don't try to feel,
Just don't even try-- Let.
Let your emotion rise within,
Let the swells of Something begin.
Give voice to the fighting existence that rises--
The supressed essence that binds us
As human beings together
And finds us in the middle of our agonies,
In the pinnacle of our joys;
Let it loose, don't strip the noise.
The torrents of raw being collide.
The power of emotion combines.
The euphoria rises like steam
Pushing through the atmosphere,
Sounding throughout the hemisphere.
The desperate desires emanate...
The people congregate,
The crowd is irate.
How much can we take?
The opposite of love--is hate.
